Wash the potatoes and cut each one into 6-8 wedges.
TIP
Remember not to cut the potato wedges too small as they will fall through the gaps on the grill. If you only have small or medium-sized potatoes, you can cut them in halves instead of wedges.
If you need to shorten the time on the grill, you can parboil the potato wedges in advance. Place them in a large pot of boiling water and boil for 5-7 minutes. You can do this just before grilling or in advance if you want to prepare earlier.

Fire up the grill.

When the grill is ready, melt the butter and brush the potato wedges with butter on all sides, then sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Now grill the potatoes on all sides for about 20 minutes, turn the potatoes regularly and brush with melted butter. When they are done, add the chopped fresh herbs to the rest of the melted butter and brush the potatoes one last time before serving.
TIP
Try making whipped butter to serve with the butter roasted potatoes. Whip butter with fresh herbs and let it melt on the potato wedges when they are cooked.
