Spread Lurpak® butter on one side of each slice of bread.
TIP
For a satisfying crunch, toast the bread slightly on a pan after buttering it. Butter both sides of the bread to get two nice, crisp, golden sides. Use a panini press or a hot skillet to toast the bread. Press down gently for even browning. The bread turns golden and crispy in minutes, while the inside stays warm and soft. It is delicious and has some crispness to hold the soft salmon and creamy avocado.

TIP
Choose high-quality smoked salmon. Use what is available, but Scottish and Norwegian smoked salmon are excellent choices, known for their balanced flavours and silky textures. If you prefer a more pungent, smoky taste, opt for Irish smoked salmon. For a milder option, Nova Lox works well, while Wild Alaskan smoked salmon offers a rich, natural flavour.
